Luca's First Laker Game

We took Luca to his first Laker game - the kid cannot sit still in church to save his life, but sporting events, he is great at! He especially loves dancing to the music they play throughout the game.

By the end of the 3rd quarter, he was sucking his thumb and playing with his hair so as to say, "Somebody please tell my parents it's past my bedtime!"

The Happiest Run on Earth

Disney just does everything better! Before daylight, at 5:15 in the morning, approximately 12,000 runners lined Downtown Disney in anticipation of the inaugural Tinkerbell Half Marathon. They started the festivities with Minnie and Daisy greeting the crowd and even shot off fireworks for the National Anthem. We ran all through the parks, backlots and streets of Anaheim where characters and spectators cheered us on throughout the 13.1 miles. Cat came to cheer me on at the finish where I clocked in at 2:06:56, an improvement from 2:10:39 from my last 1/2 M in 2009. Next year, we will both run and make a whole weekend out of it, taking Luca to Disneyland the day before and staying at the hotel so that we can just roll out of bed and into our tennies!

New Adventures in Self-Feeding

He really does try to use the spoon, but then opts for the much more effective fist feed technique : )

Encore, Encore!

Girls Night Out to celebrate Tracy's 40th! 14 of us met for dinner in Pasadena at Il Fornaio and then 9 of us continued on to Dimples in Burbank where we really rocked it... set list for the night included Total Eclipse of the Heart, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, and Copacabana. Not a bad place to spend your birthday, as they even bring out champagne to your table to toast the birthday girl! I have never hung out with such a fun bunch of moms!
New Year's Resolution: Must go karaoking more often!
