5 Months and Growing!
The baby is now about a foot long, weighs over a pound and is moving around like crazy! I still get excited every time I feel a movement...my belly looks a lot like a waterbed these days! From what I've read, the little one is sleeping about 12 to 14 hours a day, but I can already tell we are not on the same sleep schedule - I suppose I should get used to that, though! Mom and I went to Babies R Us this weekend to start the registry process - wow was that overwhelming! I didn't realize how much "stuff" a baby needs - and I certainly can't figure out how it's all going to fit into our house! I couldn't bring myself to register for neutral bedding/decor, so I picked boy AND girl themes and will just return the "wrong" ones! Sorry, this chick is NOT a fan of mint and yellow : )

Fathers' Day at Uncle Fran's and Happy 1st Anniversary!
This year, Fathers' Day marked our 1st Anniver- sary! We all got together at Uncle Fran and Aunt Cherie's for a scrumptious dinner prepared by Billy and Nancy...
I wasn't expecting Tony because he was in England all week for Royal Ascot and wasn't supposed to come home until Monday, BUT he surprised me by coming home on Sunday after all and he made it to Uncle Fran's in time to "cut the cake" - mom was in on Tony's surprise early return and brought us a mini cake to celebrate!
When we got home, we pulled out our original cake and cake topper (Grandma and Grandpa's bride and groom, with a modern twist!)...unfortunately, it didn't fare well in the freezer! Oh well, it's a cute tradition anyway! And it gave us a chance to think about Grandma and Grandpa and their 67+ years of marriage!

Cantaloupe at 20 Weeks
20 weeks down and 20 to go! Can't believe we are already at the halfway point! Yesterday, I actually got to SEE the baby's movement for the first time from the outside - wow...I just keep looking down in amazement thinking, I just can't wait to meet this little thing moving around in there that is going to totally change my LIFE. Today I had a double-header of doctor appoint- ments, one with my OB and another with the Center for Fetal Medicine, where I had my second trimester screening and ultrasound. The baby is about the size of a cantaloupe and is really movin' and groovin'...we were able to see all 10 fingers and toes and healthy bone structures and propor- tions. With Tony in Europe right now for Royal Ascot, Mom came with me to make sure I didn't cheat and find out the sex of the baby! It nearly killed me to know that the doctor knew and I didn't! The 3 and 4D technology is just amazing - though, Cat had the best line - "I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting something a little cuter...!"

4 Months...Goodbye Waistline!
17 Weeks...time to start taking monthly pics of my growing belly...this one is at approximately 4 months and the baby is about the size of a sweet potatoe. I'm finally looking a little more pregnant and less like I simply had a big lunch!
18 Weeks...woke up one morning and when I rolled over from my side to my back, my belly was lop-sided so I could actually "see" where the baby was positioned!
19 Weeks...woohoo! I actually felt unmistakable movement from the baby! Kinda like bubbles/butterflies...can't really feel/see anything from the outside yet, but hopefully soon! Side note: I told Tony how I read that the baby can actually start to hear our voices now, to which he responded with what he assumed might be the baby's first thoughts/observations:
1) Wow, my dad is REALLY funny!
2) Geez, I can't believe my mom watches the Bachelor!
3) Who's Daisy...? DO I HAVE A SISTER?!
