Halloween was so much fun this year! Tony and I dressed up as Racer X and Trixie... yes, Trixie is dating Racer X now because he's much more thrilling than Speed Racer...but mostly because Tony waited until the day of the party and this was the only costume left between the two...no matter! It was a really fun night! We had dinner first at Mozza, slighly embarassing being the only two people dressed up in the place...but it was worth it for the few people who remarked how much they liked our costumes!
From left to right...Miriam was Jaime Lynn Spears (a pregnant trailer park teen), Joanna was a Ghostbuster, Liz was a referee and Shannon was Jessica Simpson.

And Away They Go...Breeders' Cup 2008
It was a beautiful sunny day at Santa Anita for the 25th Annual Breeders' Cup. Tony was running around like crazy as usual, trying to make sure everyone was squared away with tickets, socializing with everyone as much as possible, as well as, oh yeah, producing the show!
I had fun hanging out with Scott and Erica as well as Uncle Fran, Aunt Cherie, Billy and Cam.
What a beautiful backdrop those mountains make...
Heading to the paddock to see Mr. Hubbard's horse...
Looked like a very good crowd for the day...
The chaos that is the production truck...after sitting in here for just five minutes, it is truly a wonder how they make it look so seamless on the show...

Party at the Palladium
Such a fun night out for the Breeders' Cup Kick-Off Party at the Palladium in Hollywood , which only recently re-opened earlier this month. Grey Goose was flowing and, even better than the appetizers served, were the tray passed red velvet cupcakes! The highlight of the night was a stellar performance by Maroon 5...

Fun with Monika
Yay! Monika finished her residency in Chicago and is back living on the West Coast! I'm still trying to get her to move back to LA, but for now, I'll settle for Del Mar...two recent weekends, we took turns taking the train to see each other in "our" cities...
The weekend that Monika came up to LA, Tony took us out to Ago for dinner. Heavenly pasta and yummy peach martinis!
Since Monika doesn't work on Thursdays, and I just happened to have one off for Yom Kippur, we set a play date at The Ivy in downtown San Diego to soak up the last bits of Summer...
Sipping Belinis, poolside...
So fun to be "ladies that lunch" for a day...
Dr. Monika's barely FDA approved SPF 70!
View of downtown from the rooftop pool...

On Your Marks...Get Set...Go!!!
Cat and I ran in our 3rd Annual Manhattan Beach 10K Run this morning and each got new Personal Bests - woohoo!
Catherine Lima 48:18
Carly Lima 1:00:48
Cat got 4th in her entire age group!! And we got 5th place (out of 16) in the Sister/Sister team category...I'm just lucky Cat doesn't have any other sisters, or I'd be worried about making the cut for her team!
