The Easter Bunny is Finally "Cool"!

Up until now, Santa and the Easter Bunny have pretty much spooked this kid, but THIS year, he finally figured it out that these are the dudes that bring him cool stuff on holiday mornings!  And, with the promise of a candy reward, Luca treated us to this priceless tearless, toothy grin!

Ice, Ice, Baby!

Tony had been dying to get Luca out on the ice to have a first go at skating and we finally had a good opportunity to go for it this week.  You might say he was *slightly* excited...He did really great - he never got scared, and he actually listened to the instructor.  The cutest thing was that he actually thought he was playing hockey, even asking where the "bad guys" were - that's what we call the teams that play against the Kings!

Wicked!

 

A night out at the theater to see Wicked at the Seger- strom in Orange County...so lucky it worked out that we could see it with Gregory while he was home for spring break. 

I always forget how amazing it is to see these shows live until I'm happily in tears at the end of the first act!

The Little Baker

Luca is always watching shows on Nick Jr. and PBS where kids are baking things with grown-ups, so I thought...
"Hey, we can do that!"  And when Siena and Imelda brought freshly baked bluberry muffins to Nonna's house last weekend, I figured that was the perfect thing to try.  He loved it!  He poured each and every ingredient in the bowl himself, saying what it was, and of course his favorite part was turning on the mixer.  At full speed. 

We put the muffins in the oven and when he was done with his bath, they were ready!  He was so proud!  The next morning, he told Raquel all about it and was so excited to share them for breakfast.  For our next project, I think we'll get the bread maker out of storage!

Happy Birthday, Cat!

We got to celebrate Cat's birthday twice this weekend - once at a lovely relaxing dinner with the family at Cedar Creek Inn in Brea sans Luca...

...and once at a not so relaxing, but SUPER fun, night with all the Limas and Cavezzas at Michaelangelo's where Luca got to help blow out the candles!
