Karaoke Night

For Tony's birthday this year, we got a group together for a fun night in Korea Town. We had dinner at Kang Nam and then the party really began at Soop Sok Karaoke, where we had a private room to sing our hearts out! My favorite performance of the night may have been Tony and Phil's rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody...there were about 15 of us to start the night, but here are the hard core singers that stayed until the end of the night for our Glee-inspired finale...

God Bless Greg

After two years of giving up Sunday nights for Catechism Classes, Gregory made his Confirm-ation.
He and his sponsor, Keith, make a pretty handsome pair!

My First Mothers' Day

Tony had convinced me that he was not consider- ing this my first Mothers' Day, rational- izing that it wouldn't actually be until next year, but I'm sure glad he was bluffing...he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of pink roses! Mom and Dad and lots of others surprised me with great gifts and thoughtful cards, too, including the book "Love You Forever" from Aunt Tracy which, I'm pretty sure I will never make it through without tearing up! Can't believe I'll have a 6-month old this time next year!
Breakfast with the Limas, lunch with the Allevatos, and dinner at Vince's with the family...a very fun first Mothers' Day!

Officially an Allevato!

What a process it is to change your name... geesh! I got to the bills, credit cards, passport, and Social Security right away, since I could do all those things via mail and phone calls, but to change a driver's license, there is no way around a physical trip TO the DMV, hence the fact I procrastinated for almost a year - heck, even the license that I did have was still from two moves ago! At any rate, I am now officially an Allevato on all forms of identification! Of course, I do still have clients that refuse to learn my harder to spell/pronounce new name and continue to call me Lima. Oh well!

Greg Takes The Stage

With parents named Mary and Joseph, it was quite apropos that Gregory play the role of Jesus in Amat's Spring musical production of Godspell...

Amazing job, Greg! Still can't believe all the lines he had to learn...and I'm still singing a bunch of the songs in my head!
