Raspberry at Eight Weeks

Well, we went for our second doctor visit today and I am thrilled to report that the baby is starting to look more like a human and less like a reptile!
He/she is about the size of a raspberry and was actually moving around like crazy and you could see little arms and legs, and a tiny precious heartbeat! These pictures aren't great representations of what we saw, but below are little videos I took where you can maybe get a better idea...

Cats at the Pantages

The five of us girls met up at the Pantages Saturday night to see Cats... pretty impressive that it's the second longest-running show on Broadway of all time.
Amazing dance performances and the theme music was so beautifully haunting! The show-stopping moment was definitely "Memory!"

And there's no theater quite as majestic as the Pantages!

Sweet Pea at Six Weeks

Well, we went to our first doctor appoint- ment today and we were already able to see the heartbeat! It was just a little "flicker" on the screen, but it was there! Other than that, there wasn't much to see, of course...just these two little pea-sized shapes (about 5 millimeters each) which looked like twins at first, but the doctor quickly reassured us that one was the fetus (right) and one was the amniotic sac (left)...

Tony asked the doctor if it was too soon to tell what the baby would be when it grew up : ) As of right now, the doctor is estimating a due date of 10/31/10, but we will go back in two weeks and be able to see a little more when the baby is the size of a raspberry and he can get a better measurement...crazy stuff!
